The MS4043 cylinder guard is a hardened steel ring to protect the cylinder from vandalism. The combination of the bevelled shape and hardened steel material provide excellent resistance to gripping - even with sharpened tools.

- Outer shield ring is bevelled to offer poor grip for twisting
- The hardened steel material combined with the bevelled shape makes obtaining a tight grip on the ring virtually impossible
- The retainer plate on the back of the door prevents the cylinder being levered out in the event of a chisel type tool being driven into the stile behind the shield ring
